About

My happy place has always been in nature and I found, that the Blue Mountains offered me the perfect environment and space to breathe, retreat and be creative. Having lived and worked in the corporate world for many years, I was ready for a tree change and a slower pace, and so it was that in April 2017, I became the new owner of this magnificent property. Previously owned by the late Richard Sterling, renowned Australian Astrologer, Author and TV Personality popular in the 1980’s.

It was during my years in Recruitment that I was introduced to Numerology ~ the science of numbers by my client, Dr David Phillips author of “Discovering the Inner Self”. I studied numerology with David and found it beneficial in mentoring applicants during their job search and my approach helped lift their spirits after having lost their jobs. Many years later I again utilized numerology in my counselling practice. With my keen interest in Astrology and Numerology I guess you could say the house found me.

This wonderful property offered me the grand view that I yearned for, a huge garden, and the opportunity to meet and greet people from all around the world, which brings me joy.

My passion for horticulture and floristry experience gave me the tools to revitalise this unique astrological garden.

The majestic view and changing colours on the escarpment still captivates me to this day, and I love the fact that the famous 3 Sisters are practically in my backyard with 5 major bushwalks moments away.

I now feel privileged to share the tranquillity, views and gardens of Dalia’s blue mountain retreat with my guests from all around the world.

I encourage you to take time out from the fast lane as I did, listen to your heart so you can be there for yourself and those you love.

Why not book your getaway today and escape with someone you love.

What They’re Saying

Sterling Manor - Best Escarpment View by Far! We had an amazing 3 night stay at Sterling Manor. The view was breathtaking, the place was very clean. The location was amazing, a short wall to the 3 sisters look-out and a cafe, bar & restaurant. Dalia was a great host and went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. Already want to come back!!
Madeline S.
Dalia's two bedroom garden suite called Garden of the Stars worked beautifully for our family including adult son. Two proper, full-size bedrooms with hotel quality bedding, fully separate sparkling bathroom, beautifully appointed kitchen and lots of natural light. Well heated and well insulated so a pleasure to spend a chilly winter's night in. Thank you Dalia for all the very thoughtful touches.
Linda R.
Garden of the Stars is the most beautiful accommodation set in such tranquillity. Can’t wait to go back! The energy of the place is phenomenal
Jessica C.
Our stay in Sterling Manor was a world class experience. A very spacious and comfortable apartment with special touches that makes it feel like your home but away. The cosy sun room at the front of the property is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee taking in the panoramic views of the majestic Jamison valley. A walk through the gardens leaves you with a fresh mind to start the day. Five minutes walk to the three sisters n cafes. Dalia our host was most gracious and welcoming leaving us a nice bottle of wine some chockies on our bed and beautiful fresh flowers in our bedroom along with a welcoming post card. We’ve stayed at many properties up here over 30yrs and must say sterling manor rises above most we have stayed at. It is also very affordable compared to others. The view alone talks for itself. Thank you Dalia for sharing this beautiful part of the world with us. We will be back
Christopher T.
Cloud 9 is completely amazing, could not get over the view throughout our 4 night stay. So close to the three sisters, making it very convenient for bushwalking and exploring the area. The gardens attached are gorgeous. The apartment was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you so much, we will visit again!!
Mark H.
Sterling Manor is a large property, comfortably furnished, with amazing views and beautiful garden. All of this coupled with very helpful and prompt communication and great service from start to finish
Alister C.
What an amazing, beautiful place to stay. As you walk in the front door, it has the OMG factor. The views are the best you can get, 180 degrees over the Jamieson Valley !! Only a 5 minute walk to the Three Sisters and the start of many beautiful walking tracks. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite..... so devine. The property has the most amazing meandering gardens (make sure you ask the owner about the history of the property - you will be pleasantly surprised) The property has everything you require for a short or long stay, very clean and excellently appointed. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would certainly recommend to anyone who is looking for a memorable stay in the Mountains.
Jan M.
Cloud Nine is in the perfect location. It faces the morning sunrise, and has the windows and deck to enjoy it. Looking straight over treetops gives a magnificent foreground to the spectacular sandstone cliffs and on down the valley. It takes ten minutes for your early morning starter walk to the 3 Sisters when no one else is around. The accommodation was set up beautifully with everything that was expected plus more. We will be keeping Cloud Nine in mind for our next visit. Thank you.
Bruce R.
Dalia was a fabulous hostess. We loved Cloud nine, the 180+ degree views from the spacious deck were spectacular. We did many off the bushwalks from the property, they were amazing! After long walks we treated ourselves with lunch and dinner at some of the fabulous local restaurants, Darley’s being a new favourite. Cloud nine had a comfy bed and all the comforts you need if you can get past the distracting view! Thank you Dalia for sharing your beautiful property.
Rachael P.
A beautiful property with the most amazing views from the deck. There are even great views from the kitchen (which is fully equipped). The rooms are comfortable and very relaxing from the moment we walked in. The property is really close to Echo Point and therefore convenient for any place we wanted to see in the mountains. The hosts were very contactable and offered good advice about restaurants and attractions. It was our first time here but it won't be the last!
Neale G.
Fantastic warm welcoming stay in a fab location. We hardly left the apartment as we were enjoying the views, birds and the garden so much. Really close walk to the attractions mean you can get there without the crowds!
Sarah H.
Our stay at Cloud9 exceeded my expectations. It is truly a special place, fitted out so comfortably where every need is catered for. And the view! So, so special that we couldn't soak it in. So much to see at your finger tips here. Would definitely love to stay again. Great value for money and such ease checking in and out. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
Letitia D.
Fantastic relaxing house with amazing mountain view. Loved it
Reza Y.
I would not imagine a better view and romantic atmosphere better that that. Ideal for newly married couples and those who are interested to refresh their love.
Ahmed H.
This is our third visit back to cloud 9 and we plan to keep coming back as long as we can. All you need is the view to have an amazing weekend, however throw in a neat and tidy self contained apartment that gets better with improvements each stay and you couldn’t ask for any thing more. We enjoy the walking and food katoomba has to offer and highly recommend a stay at cloud 9.
Nick G.
This place will leave you speechless! No need for entertainment the view does it all for you!
Priscilla D.
The view from this lovely house in indeed breathtaking and jaw dropping. We wished we could have stayed longer as we just could not get enough of it. There is always a next time and we shall return soon. Thank you Dalia, the flowers from your garden were lovely!
Janaki & Sagar
Best view in blue mountains. You could spend your time looking at the view all day and not get bored. Huge deck. Only a few minutes walk to the three sisters lookout.Spotless apartment. Comfortable bed. Full kitchen with washing machine and coffee machine. Very quiet. Great shower. Dalia is an amazing host, and is very attentive and available if needed. We will stay here again.
Meredith A.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Cloud9. The amenities were excellent and the early morning vista when the sun came up was spectacular as was the view directly down the valley. We would certainly return for a future stay.
Judith C.
What a beautiful apartment. Waking up and walking into the lounge room, kitchen or just sitting in the sun room and seeing the magnificent views. Sitting on the balcony and having not a worry in the world. The location to the town center and other towns in the mountains was fantastic. I hope to return soon. Thank you for sharing and allowing us to stay.
Greg W.
Cloud 9 was an amazing holiday stay. Close enough to walk to the Three Sisters, Echo Point and Katoomba town centre, yet felt completely separate from the hustle and bustle of these busy tourist spots. The views were unbeatable and the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. A very relaxing holiday destination.
Madeline F.
We absolutely loved our stay at Cloud 9. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the ever-changing views from the balcony, living area and kitchen were simply breathtaking. We are hoping to visit again and we definately wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else but Cloud 9.
Michelle F.
